This is a great community service opportunity for
students needing community service hours.

What to bring:
  • Wear old work clothes that you don't mind getting muddy, Hip waders are a plus, (or old sneakers you don't mind getting wet in)
  • Work Gloves are a requirement, -wagon or a wheelbarrow would help!
  • Loppers, saws, planting tools for replacing invasive plants with natives.
  • An old canoe to pile things in from along the shore. (yes parts of this creek are floatable)
  • Refreshments will be provided, but you may want to bring a drink or snack to tide you over.
  • Most of all, bring your friends!

What if it rains?
We get wet... In the event of high water (more than knee deep in current) we will alter our cleanup area, but not the date and time.

-Disclaimers: Cleanups are inherently dangerous activities. There is a risk of injury from slipping and falling, cutting yourself on junk, running across angry natives (such as bees, wasps, snakes, bridge trolls) Tetanus and Typhoid shots are recommended. Event organizers and sponsors cannot eliminate nor control all these risks. Participants are responsible for their own safety in these conditions.
